Having read a poor review of Ms Falkiner’s biography of the author of Tourmaline, Merry-go-round in the Sea, et al, I chose not to purchase the work. But curiosity drove me to dip into a library copy and I realised that I am not on the same page with that reviewer. Ms Falkiner is up there with David Marr and Jill Roe so I remedied the situation.
